Prestigious Service Award for Plumbing
Gilbert, Arizona - A Gilbert plumbing company is tops when it comes to developing an
innovative and effective customer service program, according to a statewide business
group that recognizes the contributions of small businesses across the state.
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was honored by the Arizona Small Business Association
(ASBA), June 1, during its inaugural Arizona Companies to Watch 2006 gala held at the
Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was specially recognized
for its Creative Customer Relations program. The plumbing firm was among 50 small
Arizona companies recognized at the event.
The company was specifically cited for its program which promises customers $5 for
each minute the plumber arrives late for a service call.
In accepting the award, company owner Linda Stanfield said, "I share this recognition
with all of my employees and their families. Our employees are the heart and soul of our
business."
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing provides plumbing services across the Valley. The Gilbert
location was founded by Stanfield in 1985. In 2003, it was the first plumbing company in
the state to win the Better Business Bureau's Ethics Award. It also won the Greater
Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Community Involvement Award in 2005.
ASBA is a statewide organization, founded in 1973. It provides members with access to
resources and benefits that aid in the development, growth and success of their
businesses.
The Edward Lowe Foundation was the creator of the "Companies to Watch" program to
celebrate the vital role second-stage companies play in the economy, locally and across
the nation. Second-stage companies are privately held enterprises that employ from 10
to 100 people and generate between $750,000 and $100 million in gross annual sales.
Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano hailed the Arizona Companies to Watch in 2006
awards. "The awards encourage us all to see more clearly how successful businesses
pursue innovation, interact with their communities, and treat their employees."
"I am honored and humbled to be recognized as the first plumbing company to be
selected for this prestigious award." Stanfield said. "The Benjamin Franklin Plumbing
approach to customer service is not a ploy or a gimmick. It's something we all live by
and something that our customers respect and appreciate."
Both Ann and Marc exceeded my customer service expectations.. Thank you!
